The Huawei P30 Pro has been a highly sought-after device since its launch, with updates that have improved its image quality, added new features, and increased its efficiency. With that in mind, we decided to take the phone on an extreme day in the life, spanning two full days, and attempting to do it all on one charge.
The Journey
We set off from England and headed to Wales, a journey of three to three and a half hours. After a few hours, it was time to head back home. I used the phone for navigation again, and also took some more photos and videos. The battery life was still going strong, and I was able to make it back home without needing to recharge.

After getting used to the environment, the cave walls were begging to be photographed using the super macro mode. A single water drop was captured just before leaving, with the entire imprint of the net on the back of the shirt.

The day’s activities then moved to a lower light environment. The beautiful Welsh countryside provided the backdrop, with the P30 Pro’s low light photography capabilities put to the test. The phone was able to capture stunning images in the dark, with the night mode allowing for greater clarity and detail. Our second activity was to visit a dark sky reserve, which is a designated area with minimal artificial light pollution. On the way there, we were able to capture some incredible shots of the night sky. The Huawei P30 Pro EXTREME was able to capture the beauty of the night sky with its powerful camera. We were able to take some stunning photos of the stars and the Milky Way.
The Dark Sky Reserve
The serene atmosphere of the dark sky reserve was a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Wait
We waited patiently for the darkness to descend, and eventually it did. With no artificial lights around, the sky was pitch black, providing the perfect backdrop for the Huawei P30 Pro’s night mode. Setting the phone up on a tripod, we opened up the star trails mode and were ready to take our photography to the next level.

This app allowed me to quickly and easily transfer the data without any issues. The transfer process did take a significant toll on the phone’s battery, but the Huawei P30 Pro EXTREME was still able to last until 9:40 PM.
