Fraying Cables
One of the tech problems that I would love to be left in the past is fraying and damaged cables. I have had to replace many of my MacBook wires due to wear and tear at the neck, which is the part that tends to receive the most bending and pulling. Fortunately, this is a solvable problem. With the help of heat shrinking tubing, I can slip one of these tubes on top of the neck and heat it up. This should compress the wire by a factor of three and seal up any holes. This will insulate the wire, protect it, make it waterproof, and the insides of these tubes are lined with adhesive such that once heated and sealed, they will stay that way.
