OnePlus 7 Pro
The OnePlus 7 Pro followed shortly after the P30 Pro, taking approximately one second to boot up. It also featured an optical in-display fingerprint scanner, which enabled it to achieve an impressive unlock time of 1.5 seconds per unlock. The OnePlus 7 Pro was able to match the P30 Pro in terms of speed, but it was unable to beat it.
Samsung S10 Plus
The Samsung S10 Plus was the last to boot up, taking approximately one and a half seconds to do so. It featured an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, which was theoretically more capable than the optical scanners found on the other two phones. However, the S10 Plus was weighed down by its ripple animation, which could not be disabled, resulting in a slower unlock time of 1.8 seconds per unlock.
Overall, the Huawei P30 Pro emerged as the clear winner in the speed test, with the OnePlus 7 Pro coming in second and the Samsung S10 Plus in third. The P30 Pro’s impressive performance was thanks to its optical in-display fingerprint scanner, while the OnePlus 7 Pro was able to match its speed. Real World Test

The OnePlus 7 Pro, Samsung S10 Plus and Huawei P30 Pro are three of the most powerful smartphones currently on the market. To determine which of these devices is the fastest, we conducted a series of speed tests to compare their performance.
Emulation
We tested the phones’ ability to run Ratchet and Clank, a Playstation Portable game. The game is capped at 30 frames per second, and the OnePlus 7 Pro, Galaxy S10 Plus and Huawei P30 Pro all managed to run the game at this frame rate without any drops. The Huawei P30 Pro showed the best performance, with no noticeable dips in frame rate.
SQL Light Test
We then used Android Bench to perform an SQL Light Test, which is used by phones to store data they retrieve from online. The test measures how quickly a phone can do this retrieval. The Galaxy S10 Plus was convincingly in third place, with the OnePlus 7 Pro and Huawei P30 Pro on top.
Application Loading Times
We tested the phones’ application loading times. The OnePlus 7 Pro was the fastest, loading applications in an average of 1.3 seconds. The Huawei P30 Pro was the second fastest, loading applications in an average of 1.5 seconds. The Galaxy S10 Plus was the slowest, loading applications in an average of 1.7 seconds.

Speed Test
In order to compare the speed of these three flagship smartphones, we conducted a speed test. We loaded up eight applications on each phone, and timed how long it took for them to load. The results showed that the OnePlus 7 Pro was the fastest, loading the applications in an average of 4.5 seconds. The Huawei P30 Pro was the second fastest, loading the applications in an average of 5.3 seconds. The Samsung S10 Plus was the slowest, loading the applications in an average of 6.2 seconds.
We also tested the phones’ multitasking capabilities, by reloading the same applications in reverse order. The results showed that the OnePlus 7 Pro was the fastest, reloading the applications in an average of 4.7 seconds. The Huawei P30 Pro was the second fastest, reloading the applications in an average of 5.5 seconds. The Samsung S10 Plus was the slowest, reloading the applications in an average of 6.3 seconds.
Overall, the OnePlus 7 Pro was the fastest phone in our speed test, loading and reloading applications faster than both the Huawei P30 Pro and the Samsung S10 Plus. This is likely due to its UFS 3.0 storage, which allows for faster data transfer speeds.

The OnePlus 7 Pro, Samsung S10 Plus and Huawei P30 Pro are all flagship phones with top-of-the-line specs. To compare their speed, we tested their multitasking, storage and file transfer capabilities.
Multitasking
To test the multitasking capabilities of the phones, we loaded five applications on each device and monitored how they remained in memory. Interestingly, we found that the OnePlus 7 Pro was able to keep all five applications in memory, while the other two phones had to reload the Elder Scrolls game. This indicates that the OnePlus 7 Pro is better at managing resources, allowing it to multitask more efficiently.
Storage Speed
The OnePlus 7 Pro is one of the first phones to feature UFS 3.0 storage technology, so we used Passmark to measure the internal read and write speeds of all three phones. The results showed that the Huawei P30 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro were both ahead of the S10 Plus.
File Transfer
To test the file transfer speeds, we transferred a 2GB file to each phone using a Thunderbolt 3 port and USB-C to USB-C cable. The OnePlus 7 Pro completed the transfer in one minute and eight seconds, which is a fast score but not game-changing. The other two phones took slightly longer to complete the transfer.
Overall, the OnePlus 7 Pro proved to be the fastest of the three phones, with the Huawei P30 Pro coming in second and the Samsung S10 Plus in third. The OnePlus 7 Pro’s superior multitasking capabilities and UFS 3.0 storage technology gave it an edge over the other two phones.
