Reason 1: The Size
The Samsung Note 10+ is a large phone, and while I appreciate the expansive display, it’s simply too big for my hands. The device is difficult to hold and operate with one hand, and I find myself having to use both hands to do even the simplest of tasks. This is a major inconvenience and makes using the phone a chore.
Reason 2: The Camera
The Samsung Note 10+ has a great camera, but it doesn’t offer any significant improvements over the camera on my current phone. The Note 10+’s camera is slightly better, but not enough to justify the switch.
Reason 3: The Battery Life
The Samsung Note 10+ has a larger battery than my current phone, but it doesn’t offer significantly better battery life. The Note 10+’s battery life is still good, but not enough to make me want to switch.
Reason 4: The Price
The Samsung Note 10+ is an expensive phone and, while I understand that you get what you pay for, I don’t think the phone is worth the price. The Note 10+ is a great phone, but I don’t think it’s worth the premium price tag.
Reason 5: The Software
The Samsung Note 10+ runs on the latest version of Android, but I’m not a fan of the Samsung software. The software is bloated and slow, and I find it difficult to use. I’m more comfortable with the software on my current phone, and I don’t want to switch to something I’m not familiar with.
While the Samsung Note 10+ is a great phone, it doesn’t offer enough improvements over my current phone to make me want to switch. The size is too large, the camera isn’t significantly better, the battery life isn’t significantly better, the price is too high, and the software isn’t to my liking. For these reasons, I’m not using the Samsung Note 10+.
Corner Radius
The Samsung Note 10+ has drastically sharper corners compared to the S 10 phones, which gives it a unique identity when on the store shelf. However, this makes it less intuitive to hold and the corners can cause mild discomfort when held. The phone inherits the same build quality and lightness of the S10, but the corners are not as comfortable as what one would be switching from.
Camera Specs
Initial reaction to the camera specs of the Note 10+ was not positive, as the hardware on the back seemed almost identical and the front was missing the second time of flight camera and the wide aperture of the S10. However, when actually using it, this does not cause a problem as the edge detection when taking portrait mode shots is great and the live focus video is of indistinguishable quality. This effectively makes it the same camera experience and not a better one.
Headphone Jack
The Note 10+ does not have a headphone jack, which can be a problem for tech Youtubers and other people who spend a long time with their phones. This is a major downside of the device and a reason for many to not switch to it.
Headphone Jack Removal
The Samsung Note 10+ has been the subject of much criticism due to its removal of the headphone jack. This has been a major inconvenience for many users, as it means they must rely on wireless headphones or purchase an adapter in order to use their wired headphones. This has been particularly problematic for those who prefer to keep a wired backup pair of headphones in case their wireless ones run out of charge.
Battery Capacity
The Note 10+ has a sizable 4,300 mAh battery, which is smaller than the 4,500 mAh battery found on other phones. Furthermore, the Note 10+ has been found to drain battery faster than the standard Galaxy S 10+, which has a 4,100 mAh battery. This is likely due to the combination of its large display and the use of the S Pen. As such, the 4,300 mAh battery capacity may not be sufficient to meet the power demands of the Note 10+.
Lack of Expandable Storage
The Note 10+ does not feature expandable storage, meaning users are limited to the amount of storage that comes with the device. This can be particularly problematic for those who require more storage for their photos, videos, and other files. Furthermore, the lack of expandable storage means that users cannot easily transfer files from their device to an external storage device.
Youre going to be using more power.
Battery Life
The Samsung Note 10+ is not the most ideal device when it comes to battery life. This is due to the inclusion of 5G and the S Pen, both of which require more power than usual. Although 5G is an exciting technology, it is currently more of an idea than a selling point in most parts of the world. In London, for example, 5G speeds can be experienced, however, as soon as one turns around, they are back to 4G speeds. This is also true for the Samsung Note 10+ as it is powered by the Snapdragon X50 chip, which consumes more power than Huawei’s Balan 5000. Additionally, the Snapdragon X50 chip is a single-mode chip, meaning that every time one enters and leaves a 5G area, more power is used.
Price Tag
The Samsung Note 10+ is a costly device, and for the price tag it carries, one would expect a larger battery. Unfortunately, this is not the case. As 5G is still in its early stages, it would be more beneficial to opt for a device with a larger battery and a lower price tag. This way, one would not have to worry about the battery draining quickly due to the 5G connection.
S Pen
The S Pen is a great addition to the Samsung Note 10+, however, it also uses up more power than usual. The S Pen is a great tool for taking notes, drawing, and other tasks, however, it is not essential for everyday use. Therefore, if one is looking for a device with a longer battery life, it would be better to opt for a device without the S Pen.
5G Component
The Samsung Note 10+ is equipped with a 5G component, allowing for faster data transfer and improved connectivity. However, the device also has a chip that handles 4G, 3G and 2G, which can be a limitation for those who are looking for the latest technology. Furthermore, the battery size is smaller than other devices, which could be an issue for those who require a longer battery life.
S Pen
The S Pen is a great tool, providing a smooth and tactile experience. It is capable of converting written text into editable text, which is a great feature. However, the typing experience on phones has become better and easier to correct, making it difficult to justify using the S Pen.
Air Gestures
The Samsung Note 10+ has added air gestures, which can be useful for some users. However, for those who do not require this feature, it is not a necessary component.
Other Options
The Samsung Note 10+ is a great device, but there are other options that may be more appealing. The upcoming iPhones, Google Pixel 4, OnePlus 7T Plus and Huawei Mate 30 Pro all have substantial changes and features that could make them more attractive than the Samsung Note 10+.
Similarities with the Galaxy S10+
The Samsung Note 10+ is strikingly similar to the Galaxy S10+, with both devices having the same design, display, and camera setup. This has led to some questioning the need for the Note 10+ in the first place, as it appears to be a minor upgrade from the Galaxy S10+.
Lack of Innovative Features
The Note 10+ does not offer any innovative features that would justify its existence. The only major difference between the two devices is the inclusion of the S Pen stylus, which is not a major selling point for many users. Furthermore, the Note 10+ does not offer any major improvements over the Galaxy S10+, making it difficult to justify the additional cost.
Competition from Huawei
The release of the Note 10+ has been overshadowed by the release of Huawei’s P30 Pro earlier this year. Huawei has made significant improvements to its flagship device, with a new design, improved display, and enhanced camera capabilities. This has made it difficult for Samsung to compete with Huawei, as the latter has made much more significant changes to its device.
Lack of Google Services
The potential lack of Google services on Huawei devices is a major concern for many users. As of yet, there is no confirmation as to whether or not Google services will be available on Huawei devices, making it difficult for users to make an informed decision. This could be a major factor in users opting for the Note 10+ over the P30 Pro.
The Future of the Note Line
The release of the Note 10+ has led to speculation as to the future of the Note line. With the device being so similar to the Galaxy S10+, it is possible that Samsung could discontinue the Note line and instead focus on a standalone S Pen that could be used with the Galaxy S series. This would allow users to enjoy the benefits of the S Pen without having to purchase a separate device.

Data Security
The Samsung Note 10+ offers users the ability to multi-hop or encrypt their data through two different servers simultaneously. This provides an extra layer of security, making it difficult for hackers to gain access to sensitive information. Additionally, the device also scans the user’s email account for suspicious activity, and can help to strengthen passwords.
Internet Search Tool
The Samsung Note 10+ also comes with a unique internet search tool, known as Line Search. This tool offers users the ability to search the web without leaving any logs, tracking, or ads. This is a great feature for those who want to browse the web without being tracked or targeted with ads.
Discounts and Offers
The Samsung Note 10+ also offers users the chance to take advantage of discounts and offers. By using the code ‘BOSS’, users can get an 83% discount and an extra month for free. This is a great way to save money on the device.
Limitations
Despite the many benefits of the Samsung Note 10+, there are some limitations to consider. For example, the device does not offer the same level of customization as other devices. Additionally, the device does not have a headphone jack, which may be a deal-breaker for some users. Furthermore, the device is not compatible with all apps, so users may have to look elsewhere for certain apps.
The Samsung Note 10+ has been the subject of much criticism due to its removal of the headphone jack, smaller battery capacity, and lack of expandable storage. These factors have been major inconveniences for many users, making the Note 10+ a less attractive option for those who are looking for a phone with these features.
The Samsung Note 10+ is a great device, but there are other options that may be more appealing. The 5G component and S Pen are great features, but the typing experience on phones has become better and easier to correct. Furthermore, the air gestures may not be necessary for some users. With the upcoming iPhones, Google Pixel 4, OnePlus 7T Plus and Huawei Mate 30 Pro all having substantial changes and features, it may be difficult to justify using the Samsung Note 10+.
The Samsung Note 10+ is a powerful device that offers users a range of features, including data security, an internet search tool, and discounts and offers. However, there are some limitations to consider, such as the lack of customization options, the lack of a headphone jack, and the incompatibility with certain apps. For these reasons, some users may decide to look elsewhere for their device.
